Chris O’Gorman acted for Joshua Baker, who was acquitted after a trial at Birmingham Crown Court of having a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Mr Baker was alleged to have been in the rear seat of a Fiat Abarth motor vehicle when the front seat passenger (who had pleaded guilty to having a firearm with intent to endanger life) discharged a sawn-off shotgun at a male on Stowheath Lane, Wolverhampton.

His co-accused, Logan Head, the driver of the car, was convicted of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Mr Baker will be sentenced for possession of a firearm, to which he had previously pleaded guilty, in July.
