Amiee Parkes was part of the successful prosecution team in Operation Thatcher where a 14 year old boy was jailed for at least 16 years for his part in the murder of Keon Lincoln. The other 3 Defendant’s, who were also found guilty of murder, were sentenced to 19 and 17 years while a 5th Defendant, who was found guilty of manslaughter received 12 years. The trial lasted around 6 weeks at Birmingham Crown Court and was captured on CCTV.

Lord Justice William Davis said Keon’s murder had been “carefully planned and executed” using a revolver and a stolen car.

“It’s quite clear that all who came from the car were party to the use of the gun,”

Amiee Parkes, who was led by Michael Burrows QC, acted as Disclosure Counsel for the CPS both before and during the trial.
