Jane Brady, led by Oliver Saxby QC, prosecutes the trial involving 5 defendants at Reading Crown Court. The case revolves around the death of James Anthony Sootheran who was found dead on 18 March 2014 at his farm in South Newington, near Banbury. A post mortem found he had died from pneumonia, caused by malnourishment.
