Faye Edwards, who was instructed to represent the mother in a private law dispute involving a young child, was successful following a multi-day Finding of Fact hearing.

The court was required to determine a number of allegations of domestic violence, both physical and verbal, perpetrated by the father over a 6 year period.

Following lengthy cross-examination and the evidence of a number of witnesses from both parties, Faye was successful in securing all 10 allegations as proven fully or partially in favour of the mother.

This matter will now proceed through the welfare stage to consider what is in the best interests of the child, taking into account the findings made against the father and Practice Direction 12J.
