Nicholas Kennan recently represented a teacher in professional disciplinary proceedings who was accused of historic offences against a former pupil, including allegations that he had sexual intercourse with her on numerous occasions whilst she was a schoolgirl some twenty years ago.

The former pupil and the current headteacher of the school gave evidence on behalf of the Teaching Regulation Agency. The teacher gave evidence on his own behalf.

Following a four-day hearing the panel determined that none of the allegations had been proven.

Nicholas was instructed by Thompsons Solicitors on behalf of the National Education Union.
