Wolverhampton Crown court 1st February 2024. Dean Easthope was Junior Counsel and was led by Jeremy Wainwright KC representing the Defendant who initially faced a three Count Indictment, which consisted of one Count of Causing a Child to Watch a Sexual Act and two Counts of Possession of Indecent Photographs of a Child.
At the start of the Trial, it was confirmed by the Crown that, the two Counts of Possession of Indecent Photographs of a Child were no longer to be proceeded with.
A four day Trial then took place in relation to the one Count of Causing a Child to Watch a Sexual Act. The Trial was prosecuted on behalf of the Crown by Michael Burrows KC. The Trial involved Legal Argument in relation to certain evidence being admissible and a favourable ruling from the Judge was obtained on behalf of the Defendant.
The Jury deliberated for just over two hours before unanimously acquitting the Defendant.
