At a recent appearance at the Royal Courts of Justice, Danae Larham successfully appealed a sentence imposed by Wolverhampton Crown Court. In securing a reduction in a sentence of 9 months reduced to 6 months for an offence of handling stolen goods, Danae successfully argued that the starting point of 12 months before credit for plea was manifestly excessive in all the circumstances. The Justices praised Danae on her focussed written submissions and the force of her legal argument.
Danae was instructed by Smith Dawson, solicitors of Wolverhampton (citation Evans [2024] EWCA Crim 444)
