Cornwall Street was privileged to speak at the Oxford Summer Talks hosted by SBC International (Oxford). The ‘Becoming a Barrister’ session was delivered by keynote speakers Rebecca Keeves and Chris Pembridge to approximately 20 international students from Europe (Spain, Italy, Germany, Cyprus & Poland) and Asia (Singapore) at the Old Library, Oxford Town Hall.
The session gave insight to the legal profession with particular focus on joining the Bar. During the 90-minute session, Rebecca and Chris spoke on a variety of issues influencing and impacting becoming a barrister and the legal profession that future pupils could face.
Cornwall Street were keen for this to be a shared learning event and the structured process was an information exchange where both Rebecca and Chris were happy to field questions from the students. Throughout the session, the collaborative interaction was intellectually engaging as students shared opinions and thoughts and was a great networking opportunity.
