Cornwall Street Barristers is delighted to announce it has gained Cyber Essentials accreditation through the government backed, industry supported scheme that helps organisations protect themselves against common online threats.
Cyber security is becoming an ever-increasing concern for businesses in light of an increase in hacking and phishing attempts. Achieving this accreditation shows our commitment to Members of Chambers both existing and potential, and clients (both lay and professional) that we take the threat of cyber security seriously and that we take a proactive approach to protecting their data.
The test to obtain Cyber Essentials accreditation is rigorous. It involves reviewing existing processes, procedures and security arrangements against set criteria ensuring compliance with them and ensuring policies are positively enforced and continuously reviewed to ensure continued security.
James Farmer, Chief Executive of Cornwall Street Barristers commented: “Obtaining this accreditation has been high on our agenda to achieve this year in light of the increased attacks on legal businesses. I am delighted the IASME Consortium have confirmed the cyber security measures we have in place are robust enough to qualify for this accreditation that gives reassurance to Members of Chambers and our clients their data is protected.”
