Cornwall Street Barrister’s partnership with specialist law firm The Reflective Practice bore fruit this week with the acquittal of a headteacher accused of assaulting a child and causing criminal damage to his clothing.

Julian Lynch was instructed and after a two day trial persuaded District Judge Kevin Grego that all the headteacher had done was use the force he was entitled to use to control a naughty boy. The judge ordered the accused’s defence case costs to be met by the state.

The acquittal retains the 100% success rate of Cornwall Street Barrister’s partnership with The Reflective Practice when contesting criminal cases on behalf of teachers and is illustrative of our working defending teachers at all levels.
