Cornwall Street Barristers are delighted to announce Matthew Bolt (Call 2012), formerly of 5 Pump Court, has joined Chambers.
Described as hands on, easy to work with, and someone who quickly gets to the heart of a case and adds value, he is a high calibre advocate who has a keen understanding of the commercial reality of his cases.
He is also direct accessed qualified.
Matthew regularly prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court and has conducted trials in cases involving a wide range of criminal offences including regulatory matters and military law. He is a Grade 3 for General Crime and Grade 2 for Serious Crime prosecutor.
His Civil Law experience has been appearing in the County Court dealing with Landlord and Tenant matters, contract disputes, boundary disputes and covenants. He also has experience of TOLATA matters. Outside of Court, he has a busy papers and advisory practice and Civil is an area he is keen to retain and develop.
He is also an experienced Service Courts practitioner who has successfully represented defendants charged with a wide variety of criminal offences. Recent instructions have included a long-term conspiracy to evade duty, fraud and sexual assaults. He also has experience across the whole gamut of service offences.
Matthew joins Chambers as a full tenant and has a door tenancy with 9 Bedford Row to further develop his Military Law practice with our respective sets.
