Cornwall Street Barristers are delighted to welcome James Keeley to Chambers who joins us today from The 36 Group and who will be based primarily out of our London address.
James Keeley is an exceptional barrister who is consistently involved in some of the most significant criminal and regulatory cases in legal history. He is currently instructed as Junior Counsel prosecuting Extinction Rebellion at the Old Bailey. Whilst also defending at the highest level, he is also on the CPS Advocates Panel as a Grade 4 RASSO qualified barrister which means he prosecutes the most serious of cases. He has expertise covering murder, fraud and sexual cases.
He studied Law at Kingston University and was called to the bar in 1993. He is an elected member of the Bar Council, and serves on the Criminal Bar Association Executive, the Bar Council’s and Middle Temple’s Equality, Diversity and Social Mobility Committees and Middle Temple’s Hall Committee. He is passionate about the future of the Bar and devotes a lot of his time to helping the next generation of barristers.
