Oliver Woolhouse, instructed by Ben Shepherd of Shepherd’s Solicitors in Walsall, represented a man charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, following a shooting in the Willenhall in December 2025. It was said that the defendant had planned the shooting, arming himself with a shotgun and laying in wait for the target of the shooting, before discharging the weapon at a range of less than 2 metres. The result was life threatening injuries. The defendant had been arrested at the scene but the shotgun was never recovered. Following a 10 day trial at Birmingham Crown Court, the defendant was acquitted unanimously on all counts.
