It is with great sadness that Cornwall Street announce the death of a former tenant, Richard Benson KC.
Practising from these chambers until his retirement, Richard was called to the Bar in 1974, sat as a Recorder of the Crown Court, and took Silk in 1995. In 2013 he became a Master of the Bench at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.
He was a Visiting Fellow of Oxford Brookes University where, pro bono, he lectured and conducted workshops in criminal evidence in addition to his advocacy training and mentoring.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his wife Alison, and their twin boys.
