Last month, Nomsa Chizhowezha represented a mother in a complex private law fact-find hearing who had mental health difficulties including PTSD with obsessive behaviour. The mother had been a litigant in person throughout the proceedings until last minute when Legal Aid was finally approved for solicitors to be instructed.

Nomsa was applauded for her level of detail in preparation for the case and her excellent considered approach to an advice on appeal she completed. It appears she has handled a very difficult case with a challenging client very well.

Nomsa joined Cornwall Street in July this year. She completed her pupillage at a set in Northampton where she undertook a common law pupillage. During and post pupillage her principal area of interest is Family Law where she has regularly accepted instructions in both private and public law proceedings. Nomsa has dealt with cases including contested ICO and EPO hearings as well as Case Management Conferences and Directions Hearings on behalf of the Local Authority and representing the parents.
