Cornwall Street are delighted to welcome Esther Sheppard to Chambers who joins our Civil Team from Monday 7 November 2022.
Prior to joining Chambers, Esther successfully completed pupillage with the Government Legal Department, spending her first six months in the Immigration Team where she represented the Home Office defending challenges by Judicial Review. Her second six months were spent on secondment to No5 Chambers, where among other areas of law, she gained experience of Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Fraud.
She has worked as a money adviser for Citizen (Housing Association) representing tenants in Welfare Benefit Tribunals, and she spent time volunteering for Citizens Advice Bureau as a General Adviser and a Debt Caseworker.
