Background

Ruth completed her pupillage under the supervision of the then Elizabeth Annabelle Walker QC of 12 Paradise Square (now part of St John’s Buildings Chambers) who went on to become a Circuit Judge, sitting on the Northern Circuit.

Throughout her near 30 year career, she has undertook work in all areas of common law before specialising in Family Law. Whilst at the Bar, Ruth also become a Lecturer, teaching the then Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law, Birmingham.

Ruth’s expertise

Family Law

Ruth has a very varied Family Law practice. She is regularly instructed in all areas of Private and Public Law proceedings in the Family Court, High Court and Appellate Courts.

She is instructed on behalf of applicant local authorities and respondent parties in care, adoption and secure accommodation proceedings.

In addition, Ruth also has extensive experience in applications concerning all aspects of child arrangement orders, occupation and injunctive proceedings.

She prides herself on providing excellent client care.
