Danae Larham recently took over from James Ross as the locum Crown Prosecutor for Saint Helena, Ascension, and Tristan da Cunha. Working for the Attorney General with responsibility for prosecution of all matters across the three islands, James undertook the role for three months in the summertime and Danae took up the post in early September and will remain there until the end of the year. The role includes advising the government and police on all aspects of criminal law, making charging decisions, and culminating with the prosecution of trials on one of the most remote islands in the world with a population of just 4000 people.
Pictured at their recent handover on James’ last day in post, they continue to be available for instructions closer to home – James immediately, Danae from January 2nd – both prosecuting and defending, through our criminal clerking team on crime@cornwallstreet.co.uk
