Background

Prior to starting pupillage, Liz was an academic classicist, teacher, and lecturer. She was an Associate Researcher at the Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies at the University of Oxford from 2014-2021, and has taught a wide range of classical subjects to all ages and backgrounds, from secondary school to teacher training as well as undergraduate, graduate, and outreach courses. Liz brings her attention to detail, dedication, and client-focused approach to her legal career.

As a law student, she competed in national mooting competitions to develop her advocacy skills. She won the Francis Taylor Building Kingsland Cup in 2024, judged by The Rt. Hon. Sir Keith Lindblom. In 2023, she reached the final of the Landmark Chambers Judicial Review Moot, the UKELA Dame Frances Patterson Junior Moot, and the semi-final of the ESU-Essex Court Moot. She now serves as a judge in several national and international mooting competitions, including the London Pre-Moot (international commercial arbitration), the CEDR National Student Negotiation Competition, and the Sport Arbitration Moot.

Liz will be available to accept instructions across civil, criminal, and family matters from 7th April 2026. She is currently a level 1 CPS panel advocate.
