Georgina Kuponiyi
Pupil | Called 2025
Background
Prior to commencing pupillage at Cornwall Street Chambers, Georgina worked as a private client caseworker with a Crown Court caseload, where she regularly assisted counsel in court and was closely involved in trial preparation. She is comfortable in court environments and experienced in working directly with clients, including vulnerable individuals, taking instructions, analysing evidence, drafting legal documents, and liaising with opposing parties and professional stakeholders throughout proceedings.
She previously worked as a paralegal in commercial property, gaining experience in client care, drafting, and professional practice.
Georgina completed her LLB at Oxford Brookes University, where she was awarded the 2019 Eric Kemp Prize by the Ecclesiastical Law Society. She went on to complete the Bar Practice Course with an LLM at BPP University, achieving a Distinction, and was awarded multiple scholarships, including an Inner Temple Major Scholarship.
Alongside her studies, Georgina has undertaken voluntary advocacy work, representing members in grievance and disciplinary proceedings for the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union, and providing supervised advice in private law family matters at the BLAC Family Law pro bono clinic.
Georgina will be available to accept instructions in criminal, civil, and family matters from April 2026.
