Following a two week trial at Oxford Crown Court, Jane Brady secures conviction of two defendants charged with two counts of child cruelty.
During the trial, it was heard how one of the defendants would allegedly regularly ‘force feed’ the children by holding ‘eating competitions’ and that they children were not allowed to go to the toilet so would regularly soil themselves. It was also alleged that one of the children was strangled with a towel until they turned blue and passed out.
In sentencing the two defendants to over 10 years in prison collectively, Judge Zoe Smith said their treatment of the children had been ‘abominable’ and ‘sadistic’.
