Before cross-qualifying to become a Barrister in 2018 Ruth was a solicitor for 18 years and obtained her Higher Rights in 2017.

Ruth‘s expertise

Family

Ruth qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and spent 4 years in private practice, specialising in Criminal and Private Family Law. Since 2004 she has worked for a number of Local Authorities in and around the West Midlands, representing them in primarily care proceedings and adoption. She has also acted in Special Guardianship applications and private law applications where the local authority were involved.

She has been a solicitor for over 18 years and brings with her a wealth of experience and understanding of all types of family law proceedings including private law family matters.

Ruth has undergone extensive training and is accepting instructions on court of protection matters.
