Lucy was called to the Bar in 2015 with a ‘very competent’ grade from the Bar Professional Training Course. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Law in 2014, having first achieved a First Class undergraduate degree in English from the University of Birmingham.
Lucy undertook a Family and Criminal pupillage, having joined Cornwall Street Barristers as a pupil in September 2015. She now specialises in all areas of family law.

Private Family Law
Lucy has acted for parents, grandparents, Rule 16.4 Guardians and intervenors in Private Children matters. She has gained a wealth of experience in this area, representing clients from first hearings through to fact finds and final hearings. Lucy has been involved in complex cases, including representing parents accused of sexual abuse and parental alienation.
Lucy also regularly acts for Applicants and Respondents in applications for Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders under the Family Law Act 1996.
Public Family Law
Lucy has a growing care practice and now regularly acts for parents and children in public law proceedings. She has experience of interim hearings, fact-finds and final hearings.
As a natural consequence of the nature of the proceedings, Lucy has represented clients with mental health problems and learning difficulties. She is able to offer clear advice in a calm and structured manner and prides herself on her client care.
Court of Protection
Lucy has undergone extensive training and is accepting instructions on court of protection matters.
