Katie Fox has 20 years experience in criminal law. She followed a decade of prosecuting and defending from 6 Pump Court in London with a period of lecturing at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Joining Cornwall St in 2017, she has been consistently instructed in serious cases including those involving extreme violence, conspiracies, and expert evidence.

Katie is a Grade 3 prosecutor and experienced across the spectrum of criminal offences. She has undertaken s.28 cases and those requiring intermediaries, cases with expert evidence, and those with a National Crime Agency involvement. She is regularly asked to advise on abuse of process and complex areas of law. She has completed RASSO training, vulnerable witness training, and delivered lectures on developments in sentencing.
Crime - Notable Cases
R v T (2020) – prosecuted D for drug-related revenge hammer attacks;
R v L (2020) – prosecuted D accused of serious violence against his partner, against a background of multiple arrests for witness intimidation;
R v H (2020) – defended D, a vulnerable man with complex mental health difficulties, accused of rape of a child u13;
R v R & Ors (2019) – prosecuted 6 Ds for conspiracy involving burglary of 80 pubs across the Midlands;
R v I (2019) – defended D accused of a s.18 attack which left a man with life-changing injuries;
R v B (2018) – represented the first of 3 Ds accused of repeated rape of a 13 year old;
R v J (2018) – junior defence counsel on attempt murder of a police officer by a man suffering from paranoid schizophrenia;
R v H (2017) – defended D accused of kidnap.
