Following February’s successes Cornwall Street’s close collaboration with niche law firm, The Reflective Practice, continued to yield positive outcomes for teachers this month. The guidance given by the High Court in Andrew Faux’s successful appeal case of Wallace (now reported in the Times) is being applied at first instance and Andrew Faux and Jonathan Storey represented teachers before the National College for Teaching and Leadership with positive outcomes. In all three cases the Secretary of State was persuaded that there was a strong public interest in keeping the teachers in the profession despite their significant wrong doing. Meanwhile the Head of Chambers, Andrew Tucker, secured an acquittal after a 7 day fraud trial prosecuted by Counsel and a Local Authority audit team at Wood Green Crown Court.
